A passport is required. A visa is not required for tourist or student stays of up to six months in the United Kingdom (UK). Those planning to stay in the UK for any purpose longer than six months must obtain a visa prior to entering. Students enrolled in a course of study that is longer than six months must obtain a visa prior to entering. Those who are required to obtain a visa, and fail to do so, may be denied entry and returned to their port of origin.
