This peaceful Chateau, first built in 1544 by a famous family of glass manufacturers, was often modified until at the end of the 19th century, In the heart of the romantic "Petites Pyrenees", and only 60 km south from Toulouse, the beautiful Castle of Poudelay is the ideal place for lovers of unspoilt rural nature. In the castle, 6 elegant rooms and suites with canopy bed offer an exquisite decoration. Dinner is either served in the "Barons kitchen" (16th century) or on the terrace with its unique view to the park and the 19th century chapel. Two self catering holiday cottages are located in the former caretakers building and the farmhouse. Both have recently been renovated and can welcome 2 to 3 people each for a weekend or for a longer vacation.

Access

By car, from Toulouse :

Take Motorway A 64 (Toulouse - Tarbes), exit at N 23 Cazeres. In Cazeres, follow "Sainte Croix Volvestre" or "Autres directions". After the bridge over the Garonne River, continue direction "Sainte Croix Volvestre", and do not turn in direction Fabas! After the village "Le Plan", drive straight away direction Sainte Croix Volvestre and do not follow "Fabas". At 4 km : you'll see a big red and white sign "Ariege - Les Pyrenees". Then take the first road on your right (little bridge, sign "Moulin des Pres" and "La Chalaguère"). Continue this way during 3.5 km (don't turn left direction La Chalaguère), and turn left at the little sign "Poudelay".
