Castle of Saint Paterne
72610 SAINT PATERNE
Opened from April to January

Description

Château de Saint Paterne is a luxury castle with the authenticity of a family home and the comfort of an elegant charming hotel. 2 km away from Alençon, between Loire valley and Normandy, located half way between Paris and Brittany. Mr. and Mrs. DE VALBRAY welcome you with open arms into their home and invite you to appreciate the pleasures of life in this Renaissance period house that once accommodated Henri IV of France's paramours.
Without a doubt, during winter, the crackling of the wood in the open fireplace in the drawing room is extremely welcoming, but if you come in summertime you might prefer the idea of a pleasant stroll around the grounds followed by a dip in the pool. In the evening we offer an authentic french candlelit dinner prepared with fresh vegetables and herbs from the kitchen garden. Dinner is served in the dining room at private tables. Saint Paterne offers a unique experience, life in a family owned and run château.
